Our maritime group is at the forefront of the highly competitive international shipping industry and able to provide sound multi-jurisdictional advice on all aspects of ship finance, insurance, industrial relations, crew safety and environmental pollution. We have been retained in many of Australia’s most significant admiralty cases and have provided counsel to ship agency operators across the breadth of commercial law.
We have advised on coastal trade regulations (voyage permits, tax, customs, crewing, etc) and issues of a general commercial nature (licensing/outsourcing on-board services). We advise on, draft and negotiate contracts for ship building and repair, and act in contract disputes for shipyards and buyers.
